Программа синхронизирует (при желании автоматически) библиотеку и плей-листы iTunes с VMC. Когда пользо-ватель выбирает в VMC файл из библиотеки iTunes, плагин MCE Tunes проигрывает его через ProxureQTHost. В фоновом режиме он обращается к файлу через QuickTime, переводит декодированные данные в виде потока данных с импульсно-кодовой модуляцией на звуковую карту. Пользователь VMC замечает ра-боту этого плагина лишь в режиме просмотра телепередач, и то лишь потому, что Vista при использовании MCE Tunes отключает эффекты Aero. В связи с тем что VMC работает в полноэкранном режиме, пользователю подобное «урезание» не доставляет никаких неудобств.
